Distribution
Asia: China
Southeast Asia: Indochina, Myanmar, Laos, Vietnam, Cambodia
Taxonomy
Sometimes placed in the genus Megalaima.

Habitat
Lower ground in the evergreen, semi-evergreen and mixed deciduous forests.
