Male
- Black top of head (extends below eye)
- Black upperparts and tail
- Silvery-white underparts
Distribution
South-east Asia: endemic to the Philippines.

Subspecies
There are 3 subspecies[1]:
- D. b. inexpectatum:
- Northern Philippines (Luzon, Mindoro and Catanduanes)
- D. b. viridissimum:
- Central Philippines (Negros and Guimaras)
- D. b. bicolor:
- Southern Philippines (Bohol, Leyte, Dinagat, Mindanao and Samar)
Habitat
Uncommon in forest canopy below 1000 m.
Behaviour
Diet
There is not a lot of information, but they are most likely to eat fruit, pollen and mistletoe nectar.
