Identification
18 cm
- Bluish-grey overall plumage
- Glossy steel-blue to black head
- Short graduated tail
Distribution
Africa: found in the eastern Democratic Republic of the Congo (north-eastern Ituri and region west of Itombwe and Kahuzi Mountains)
Taxonomy
This is a monotypic species[1].
Habitat
Lowland evergreen and deciduous forests, from 980m.
Behaviour
Diet
Their diet consists almost entirely of insects including moths and grasshoppers.
