Identification
21·5–24 cm
- Olive-green head, neck and breast
- Yellow underparts continuous with hind collar
Distribution
East and Southern Africa:
Eastern Africa: Kenya, Tanzania, Mozambique, Malawi
Southern Africa: Zimbabwe
Taxonomy
Subspecies
There are 3 subspecies[1]:
- O. c. amani:
- O. c. chlorocephalus:
- Malawi and Mozambique (Mount Chiperone)
- O. c. speculifer :
- Southern Mozambique (Mount Gorongoza)
Habitat
Coastal and hill forests.
Behaviour
Diet
Their diet consists mostly of fruit and large seeds. They supplement this with insects abd karva.
