  • Scarlet bill, bare facial skin, throat, neck and legs

Distribution

Central belt of Africa (Angola and Congo to Uganda, Tanzania and Mozambique) and down the east coast to southern South Africa.

Taxonomy

Formerly placed in genus Francolinus.
