Distribution
South-east Asia: found in Southern peninsula Thailand, adjacent Myanmar, Malay Peninsula, Sumatra and Borneo.
Taxonomy
This is a monotypic species[1].
Habitat
Lowland alluvial, secondary and riverine forests. Also occasionally cocoa plantations.
Behaviour
Diet
Their diet consists of bees wax, insects, bees and their larvae and wasps. But otherwise there is little detail known.
Breeding
They nest in tree holes.
