Identification
Distribution
Eastern Africa, from Eritrea south to northern Kenya.
Taxonomy
Formerly considered conspecific with Cream-coloured Courser[1], or by some authors, with Burchell's Courser[2].
Subspecies
Two subspecies are accepted[3]:
- C. s. somalensis
- C. s. littoralis
Habitat
Semi-arid grassland.
