Asia: found in Mongolia, China, Tibet
Southeast Asia: Indochina, Myanmar, Laos, Vietnam and Thailand

Taxonomy

Subspecies

There are 2 subspecies[1]:

  • P. a. armandii:
  • P. a. perplexus:
  • South East Tibet to northern Myanmar and south-western China (Sichuan, Hubei, Yunnan)

Habitat

Temperate forests. They breed in low bushes and thickets of willow and poplars.
