Indicator archipelagicus

Identification

18cm. Olive-brown, green streaks, red iris, thick grey bill and grey white below. The male has a yellow patch on shoulder, while female has none.

Distribution

Thailand, Malaysia, Singapore, Borneo and the island of Sumatra.

Taxonomy

Habitat

Behaviour

The diet includes insects, especially wild bees and wasps.

It makes its nest in tree holes.
