Identification
45cm, including a long tail. Glossy violet, thick red bill, yellow forehead, chestnut crown, and crimson primary flight feathers.
The call is a loud cooroo-cooroo.

West Africa.

It builds a platform nest placed in a tree and 2 eggs are laid.
The diet includes fruit, particularly figs, and seeds.
