  • Highlands of south-eastern Sudan, Eritrea and Ethiopia
  • E. a. suahelica
  • Highlands of Kenya and north-eastern Tanzania
  • E. a. ardens
  • Sierra Leone to Uganda, South-western Sudan and Tanzania to South Africa

Habitat

Subtropical or tropical dry lowland grassland.
