- Cisticola bulliens
Identification
Length 13-14 cm. A fairly pale, plain-backed Cisticola that is best identified by its song.
Similar species in its range are Red-faced Cisticola, Chattering Cisticola and Whistling Cisticola.
Distribution
Coastal Angola, Democratic Republic of the Congo and Congo.
Taxonomy
Cisticola bulliens has two subspecies:
- C. b. septentrionalis
- Cabinda and lower Congo River to northern Angola
- C. b. bulliens
- Coastal southern Angola
Habitat
Dry lowland grassland and savanna, and marshes.
