Identification
Rufous brown or grey brown upperparts, streaked white and barred black, chestnut brown lowerparts, red-yellow iris, black bill, orange-yellow legs and feet.
Distribution
Australia, Tasmania, New Guinea and the Lesser Sunda Islands.

Habitat
Wet grasslands, shrubs, freshwater wetlands and some agricultural areas.
