Indonesia.

Taxonomy

Two subspecies are recognized:

  • O. b. bouroensis from Buru Island
  • O. b. decipiens from Tanimbar Island

Decipiens is sometimes split as Tanimbar Oriole.

Habitat

Moist lowland forests, mangrove forests, and moist montanes.
