Taxonomy
Two subspecies are recognized:
- O. b. bouroensis from Buru Island
- O. b. decipiens from Tanimbar Island
Decipiens is sometimes split as Tanimbar Oriole.
Habitat
Moist lowland forests, mangrove forests, and moist montanes.
