Identification
Red frons, white underparts with pinkish wash on belly and black thighs are diagnostic.
Distribution
Africa: Gabon, Republic of the Congo, Democratic Republic of Congo, Angola, Burundi, Tanzania, Zambia, Malawi.
Taxonomy
Some authorities split this taxon into two species:
- L. minor; and
- L. macclounii (Mcclouni's Barbet).
