Overview
Close to the Swedish border in Nord-Trondelag this park is renowned for its virtually untouched spruce forest. Elsewhere in the park there is pine forest, several rivers and many lakes.

The area is not well-known as a birding site but Golden Eagle and Gyr Falcon are present as well as Whimbrel, Siberian Jay and Bluethroat.

Accommodation is available at the Gressamoen Farm just outside the park and reached from Myrset which is 30km south-east of Grong. Weather is very variable in this area but May and August are probably the best months.
