Zeiss 8x60H (1 Viewer)

Back again.Just a brief word to say my Zeiss 8x60H restoration scheme is not moving forwards too quickly. It is simply the eyepieces which are missing, having at some stage been replaced by Barr and Stroud ones which will not do at all.Its the screw in pieces which fit the ocular which are missing.I did contact the Fernglas Museum in Germany for details but it is a virtual museum and so no longer has access to the eyecups or the measurements.Hopefully my model maker friend will soon come up with a pair.
On a brighter note I have recently bought a second pair of this extremely rare and sought after binocular which has the eyepieces. Its the threaded bit which fits in to the ocular piece which is in turn secured by three grubb scvrews.Once again the plastic bit has been replaced with a well made but unoriginal sleeve on both sides. So the search goes on for an original to copy or buy or preferably two.
Without trying to cause ripples,I do find the Zeiss 7x50 smooth ocular outstanding for general use, rivalled in this category only by the 7x50H.

I imagine you have, but in case not have you tried Binopedia website, run by the Binocular Historical Society?
