Yellow Warbler at hummingbird feeder (1 Viewer)

Hi Everyone,
We have had a yellow warbler actually feeding at our hummingbird feeders. Does anyone know if this is a common occurence? We first noticed him a couple of months ago and at first thought he was feeding on ants, but lately he has been on a feeder right by our kitchen window and we now see he is drinking the nectar!

Hi there

Not unusual really. Where I have seen Downy's and House Finches perched on the feeder and sipping away, I have a friend who has a Red-Bellied try everything to get to the nectar. It has even learned how to hang upside down and tilt the feeder so the nectar falls out and then it laps it up.
