Please let me know if this is a yellow rumped warbler or audobon warbler? Thanks! Image taken today (12/30/21) in my backyard.

Yellow-rumped warbler (Audubon's warbler - the western yellow-throated form, which this appears to be - is a split - if you choose to split it).

Please don't confuse people.

It is strictly an American species. The American authorities don't split it. They should be the pertinent authorities in this case. Therefore, it is not split.

As to whether the OP chooses to count it as a separate species is of course his/her right. They can also decide to count the Burrowing Owls in Florida as a separate species from those in the western US. That doesn't make either decision accurate.

Now get off my lawn! 🤪

The answer to the OP's question is that it is both. It is a form of Yellow-rumped Warbler known as Audubon's Warbler. Whether that form is a distinct species or not is debated by the world's main taxonomic authorities. (Audubon's is on my list as a separate species, but that's up to me 😉)
