Whooping Cranes when arriving in Aransas? (2 Viewers)

I am probably planning a trip to Big Bend early October. I am flying into Houston around Oct 6 and will drive down to Aransas. When are the Cranes arriving their winter grounds? Is there a chance to see some early ones?

I just checked the Ebird bar charts for Aransas and it seems as though Whooping Cranes don't start arriving until the second half of October. In fact there are no records for the first half:

Check ebird when you go and every day. Some years ago I was in Texas in migration time, and ebird was really good at picking newly arriving migrants day after day. Some of which I did not expect to see. One or few cranes might arrive just when you will be there.
