Which kinds of birds eat the greatest quantities of mosquitoes? (1 Viewer)

Greetings,

The other day I was considering the individual types of bird species that eat the greatest quantity of mosquitoes and could only think of "off-the-top-of-my-newbie-head" species- nothing official and nothing l could remember reading from books recently. I would like to hear what other people have to say of which kinds of birds eat the most mosquitoes.

The young of numerous Arctic tundra breeders snap at the clouds - of mosquitoes.

Waxwings, and - to go by their name - gnatcatchers.

I don't know about which species eat the most, but watching Red-necked Phalarope spinning around on the water and catching mosquitos is fascinating.

Swallows on the wing, flycatchers, among others. Don't know who eats the most, but these catch a lot of those pests.
