What plants do the birds like best in your garden.

We planted two bay trees about 15 years ago. They are about 10ft high now. The female produces black berries that the Blackbirds and Thrushes love. They jump up to get a berry. The birds strip the outer flesh and leave a hard nut that grows everywhere around my garden.
We also have Red hot pokers. The Sparrows strip and eat the flowers.
Cotoneaster the Blackbirds don't leave alone.
Mahonia Blackcap was seen on.
We have three pyracantha's
We also have a large spicky Gorse/Berberis 10ft+ bush that offers a safe place to roost.
We also have a small Leycesteria and small newly planted holly. our garden is about 75ftX12ft .We are desperately running out of space.

Goldfinches went after Purple Coneflower seedheads pretty good. Hummingbirds and Orioles went after Mimosa Tree flowers.Orioles also were feeding on crabapple flowers.

Was just thinking of growing Purple Coneflower this year. I find my Goldfinches love the seed of Verbena Bonariensis and I'm going to grow the Purple Coneflower amongst these. Also going to leave spent flowers on my Buddleia as recomended by Chris Baker in The Buddleia Feeder thread.

I was just looking on ebay for Purple Coneflower & found a few listings:

Idividual plants for about 1.50, seeds about 2.00 for twenty in the UK! and then I found buying them direct from the USA a 1000 seeds for $1.29.

I purchased 2 packs & inclusive of shipping the cost was $4.53 (2.55).

Seller is mpfarina2220 ,Listed in plants,seeds,bulbs Just type in Purple Coneflower in the search.

I will have to wait & see if customs confiscate them or not? I didn't realy think about it when I ordered them but if they do it's only 2.54p so it won't break the bank!, If that is the case I'll buy some in the UK.
