I find these green flat “pellets” in my tray feeder each morning. Could it be a squirrel?

Not from a squirrel and a trail camera is a good way to learn what is visiting your feeder. These are inexpensive and easy to set up and many have a wifi connection through a router to a smartphone so you can determine what was recorded from inside your home.
