waaa bird call - USA (1 Viewer)

There is an annoying grayish black bird about 6-7 inches long in my front yard. It has a weird sound, "waaa", "waaa" then 5-10 seconds of silence, then same thing "waaa, waaa". and repeats over and over. I have a Nat Geo North American bird book and it's not in there. Any ideas?

Sure it´s parents are in the book.
I guess it´s a juvenile, a photo would help enormous to ID the bird.

Stonechat has a good guess that it is a juvenile saying "feed me, feed me" - if so, that won't go on for more than a week or so. My first guess had been catbird because they have an unusual and frequent call. If you can see the bird in the open - it's probably not the catbird (unless it's junior!) because they tend to hide in bushes.

I'll get a photo because it's still hanging around. It was on my mailbox and I don't think it is a juvenile. It is more like 6 inches max, mostly gray, black beak, a little bit of black in the tail. It's become a talking point with the family, funny little bird... Thanks for the responses, be posting tomorrow.
