Vero Beach, Florida duck variety (1 Viewer)

Hello!

My wife spotted this duck family a few days ago near our neighborhood, and I just went to check them out. They have me stumped. The drake is a mallard, I would guess an escaped domestic, as it is larger than most of the wild ones I have seen. The hen seems to be a hybrid of some sort, mostly slate gray with a brown patch on one half of the breast. The ducklings take after their mother. Any ideas on what variety of hybrid these are?1000006992.jpg1000006990.jpg
Thank you!
