Utah County, Utah, USA - Unknown bird sleeping under my eaves (1 Viewer)

This bird has recently taken to sleeping under my eaves but hasn't built a nest, it just grips the stucco wall/soffit under the overhang as it sleeps, then poops all over my wall and deck. I can't tell what kind of bird it is, and it only shows up in the evening, not during the day. I'd like to know what kind of bird it is, so I know the best predator sounds to play to scare it away without hurting it.

Welcome to the group. Your bird looks like a Northern Flicker. Calls of a Peregrine Falcon might frighten it away.
