Unusual Crow behaviour. (1 Viewer)

Hello all. I have just witnessed a crow fly over mallard ducks and takes food out of the water. I live on a narrowboat and love to watch the birds. We have just recovered from floods and the crows are very happy to mooch about the banks picking what may be left from the detritus. A boater opposite me threw some bread into the water(I know please don't shoot me). The ducks swam up and then the crow flew around in a circle and feet first went into the river and took the bread. It did this twice. Is this unusual behaviour. I live on The Soar in rural Loughborough. Thank you for reading I'd love to hear some views regarding this.
