Tripod advice please - Slik Pro 700DX vs. Sunpak Ultra Pro 777 (1 Viewer)

Dear birders,

I'm looking for a tripod for my 80mm spotting scope. The two suitable options I can afford are Slik Pro 700DX and Sunpak Ultra Pro 777. The first appears to be sufficiently tall, heavy and stable for the scope, but I couldn't find any review of the Sunpak model.

These are not sold in my country, so I'm unable to compare them myself.

Could you please recommend which one should I get for the 1,5kg scope.

Regards and TIA!

They're very similar, for sure. However, I think the Sunpak looks more usable for scoping. Its 3-way pan/tilt head (a head-type usually used for photography, not video or scoping) has a handle that "extends for easy video use," whereas the Slik looks like a regular pan/tilt with 2 knobs sticking out, which is less suitable for scoping.

Many thanks, RAH

After posting my question I found out that the Slik 700dx legs could be purchased separately, while there are available at least two optional 2-way Pan/Tilt Slik heads suitable for scoping. Apparently the legs can accept also suitable Manfrotto heads.
So, perhaps I'll go for Slik...

Anyway, thanks again for the response!
