Transporting the scope in a backpack (1 Viewer)

Hello, I have bought a SVbony SV406P ED spotting scope (I cannot use it until tomorrow when the tripod arrives), and the eyepiece can be removed.

I am going to transport it in a normal backpack along with the tripod, and I wanted to know if when carrying it inside the backpack it is better to do it with the eyepiece inserted in the scope or not.

thank you!

Keep the eyepiece attached. It will save getting dust and moisture etc. inside the telescope when you reattach or detach the eyepiece. Personally never seen anyone removing the eyepiece before transporting in a backpack. It pays to have the scope ready for use ;) 🔭

I use some foam camping mat to stop my scope banging on things or the floor when you put the bag down. I tent to carry my tripod separately, either in a bag or not.
