Swarovski slc 7x42 neu value (1 Viewer)

I am in UK. There is a 2008 model for sale for £750. Listed as 'as new' . Why does selling or buying make a difference?
Buying is a bit simpler. That sounds like a reasonable price if you really want one and it's as described, or you could consider offering a bit less if that's an option. Good luck, and I hope you enjoy it.

First of all, the negatives: It is heavy (950 g) and many other aspects such as CA correction, close focus and AFoV are only moderately good, but it has an unsurpassed ease of view with or without glasses.
I bought mine (pre-Neu version) 20 years ago and it was recently refurbished in Absam First Love Rekindled.
Many other binoculars do some things better but if I could only retain one binocular this would be it.
If the condition is as advertised, then it's a steal, so don't pass up the opportunity.

Thanks John

I have never owned Swaros . I am captivated by everyone who owns them and speaks highly of them. I have Viking ed ff 8x42 which have field flatners. I paid £200 new for them so a jump to£750 seems a lot. Do you think I would notice much difference in optical performance. I found these heavy enough at about 800grms

I have had one. I never noticed CA, but I am usually unsensitive for that. And agree about the ease of view. Apart from that, SLC Neu 7x42 has very distorsion free image with the largest sweet spot of 7x42s at that time.

Agree with the comments here. One of the best made binoculars I've ever had. I'm serious. A complete pleasure to use, Mine is a SLC Neu 7X42 B from 2008. You know I have a picture!
