some Lonchura (whiterumped?)? possibly adults and younger birds? or more than 1 species (less likely?)?

all of them? I didn´t see white rump in all-but that is probably difficult? and some were browner and appeared more spotty, but similar in shape and size -so maybe young birds?

No other Lonchura species in Shaanxi. Seems likely all the same, and, yes, could have been juveniles. They seem to always be breeding or at least for a large part of the year.
