Song like a sand shaker? (1 Viewer)

Which bird makes a song like a sand shaker please? I don't know where to start in 'opus'.
It has a double rhythm like 'chaff-chaff, chaff-chaff, chaff-chaff over and over again, sometimes ending in a staccato rattle. It sits in the trees surrounding my garden (NE countryside near coast)
Hope you can help!

It's not like an alarm call, more a monotonous two syllable chant. Definitely not a magpie I can hear one right this second as I'm in my conservatory.

...or alternatively, could it be a chaffinch doing a 'rain call'?

Chaffinch is a good shot, they make all sorts of noises and I doubt they'll all be on Xeno-canto. Or, as Bill Oddie used to say, 'if you can't identify it it's a Great Tit' ... but perhaps not this time ...

Almost said Corncrake but would be a tad lost in a tree ;) I agree Magpie is likely...young sound exactly like that, although quite often just one repeated note

P.s. Tideliner...glad I'm not the only one who doesn't have a clue what a sand shaker is ;)
