Small gray overall with black on wings and tail (1 Viewer)

This bird seemed to be too small to be a female cowbird. Dark beak, almost featureless gray body with black on wings and tail, dark legs. Slightly lighter streak above the eye. Overall size seemed to be about that of a house sparrow.
Northern New Jersey, November 24, 2014 at 3 p.m., chowing down a long time on the mixed-seed feeder.

Despite that, Brown-headed Cowbird is what it is :t: Note that females (16cm) are a fair bit smaller than males (18.6cm).
