Small black and white bird in a London street (1 Viewer)

I saw this small bird in Chapel Market in London, UK, at 5.30pm on 20th May. He was actually scavenging on the ground with the pigeons and did not seem at all scared of people, unusually for such a small bird (it was Robin-size). Does anyone know the kind of bird it is? Thanks.
