Hello,

Can anyone recommend me a cottage in the aviemore area please.
I only have two requirements and thats it allows pets and has some birds to see in the garden.
(i will be stuck in the house for at least one day of the trip)

Cheers
Pete.

There are a couple of Cottages, they let out to holidaymakers at Pityoulish Estate, which is only a couple of miles from Aviemore.I stayed there a few years back and had a great time. The River Spey at the back of the Cottage and Loch Pityoulish at the front.May I suggest a google search for Pityoulish Holiday Cottages ? Might do the trick.

You could try Easter Corrie Mill and Steading. 1000 feet up in the Cairngorms. Crossbill in Woods behind, Black Grouse lekking up the glen and waders breeding round the cottages. More info at www.eastercorrie.com

Hi Pete,
I confess this is a shameless plug for a holiday home that I co own! 4 of us who love Scotland and the Cairngorms in particular purchased a holiday home in Aviemore last October. We let it out and use it ourselves www.aviemore-self-catering.org It is going great and we can't wait to use the barbecue in the back garden looking out to the Northern corries. Pets are OK and there are a lot of garden birds. Have a look at site and see what you think. Hope you have a great stay wherever you end up - we've seen snow bunting, capercaillie, blackcock at lek, ptarmigan - it really is wonderful. George H
