Sedge Wren? 40 miles north of Houston (1 Viewer)

Saw a small wren with a short tail in a wet meadow. It made a sort of chipping noise I think. It had some white streaking on back and buffy sides but a white throat. I did not notice anything else about the bird. Is this a Sedge Wren? Also could be Marsh wren (but very unlikely) or maybe winter wren, but I think not from the call.

Your description sounds accurate for Sedge Wren. Winter Wren is much darker than Sedge, and wouldn't be present in a meadow unless there were bushes, logs, or other woody debris nearby. Marsh Wren is more contrasting, with a very obvious supercilium. I don't think they are very likely away from cattails or other tall marsh vegetation.
