Secret Amazon: Into the Wild (Channel 4) (1 Viewer)

A warning came up just before the second episode saying it shows animals being killed (for food). So if you don't like this kind of thing you can skip this programme. But I think it's meant to represent the reality for people who live in the rainforest.

Watchable but definitely some sensationalism (and arguably unjustified/gratuitous slaying of a Bushmaster snake for the camera). Like the Amazonian Sasquatch they were tracking at one point, the whistling calls of the Amazonian Bushmaster snakes may be more fiction than fact. Do the deadly Amazonian Bushmaster snakes really whistle to each other loudly like the tree frogs you usually hear in the Amazon jungle Google? Google says 'no, its just tree frogs'. Ah I've not seen the second episode yet, sounds like it wasn't as good as the small section of the first episode that I saw promised.

So they killed the snake just for the sake of killing it? I assumed all killing was done for food, certainly the bit I saw of the first episode was like that.
