S.E. Michigan Nocturnal Call- Curiosity is killing me! (1 Viewer)

I live in Southeast Michigan, and have heard this peppy song bird every night for close to 3 months now. I'm not quite sure what time it begins and ends, but it seems to be consistently up between 1:30 & 5:00 am (I have difficulty staying asleep). When/if it takes a breather, it's never more than a minute or two.

As I live in a hotel, I've never actually seen it. I'm located in a downtown area, but the direction it sings from is near a marsh area.

Any help with identification would be incredible! The curiosity eats me every night!

P.S. I apologize for the background noise. The call in question is specifically the singing bird, not the frogs, tapping, or a/c 😬

Welcome to the Forum! You recorded an American Robin, as Jeff said. I can hear one singing an identical song in the back yard, above the din of the periodical cicadas. Years ago a robin used to sing on a branch near my bedroom window ... at 4:30 in the freaking morning, some 45 minutes before dawn. I was not sad when the branch was trimmed and the bird had to sing further from my house.
