Rust Colored Bird (1 Viewer)

We have been seeing a very unusual bird around our blue jays lately. They are rust colored (seems like they are rust colored all over), their stomach is a lighter shade, but there are no evident bands or stripes on the body. Their shape seems to be similar to a thrush (long tail, thin body). We have tried getting pictures, but they are very shy and we can't get a good shot.

Veery was my thought as well. What kind of habitat were they in and what were they doing? This could help us narrow it down.

We also have an unidentified Rust Colored Bird

See the attachment.... What is it?

jflynn: We too have seen this bird around a bunch of jays at out bird feeder. The rust color is without markings and the underparts are a light buff also with no markings. In total length is about the same size as adult jay. Long straight tail almost looks like a rust colored ruler. We live in Sabine Parish, Louisiana.
