Rumania-Măcin Mountains-Greci: Difficulties identifying birds of prey (1 Viewer)

During a hike in the Macin Mountains in mid-May 2024 I managed to get a few (admittedly bad videos, shown are still frames) of some birds of prey. I'm really bad at identifying birds of prey and really appreciate your help. However, I can highly recommend the area as it is of exceptional beauty.

Hello. I went to these mountains in 2019. I didn't see as much as yourself. I'd love to have gotten that male Honey Buzzard. Please, if possible may I enquire whereabouts on the mountain range you hiked. I did the circular trail starting at the monastery. It took me about 3 hours. I did see what I think was a Levant Sparrowhawk

Honey buzzards are METAL! It looks like you're right on what birds they are...
