Red Kite seen Saturday 26th May, Knutsford

I volunteer with the RSPB, and am lucky enough to feed Kites in Wales. I have waited a long time to see Kites in Cheshire. Imagine my joy when over my back garden came a Red Kite, Saturday 26th May 2012:t:

I thought I was seeing things when a Red Kite few over the Chelford Car Boot on Sunday morning! It looked great in full Sun. PG

Red Kite Mid Cheshire

I'm 90% sure I spotted a red kite in Mid Cheshire on 22nd May whilst driving on A530 between Rudheath and Middlewich. A couple of crows were having a dig but not as close as they do to the Buzzards! I have seen hundreds of RK's around Oxfordshire and my 1st reaction was "that's not a buzzard"! I was doing 60'ish so not 100% sure officer ;).

Welcome to Birdforum GShawk. Seems likely to be one of the birds already mentioned above.

Red kite off A41 near Chester

Seen today, 22nd June - very confident of ID having seen these in their well- known setting on the M40 in the Chilterns. Seen at Waverton near the Black Dog pub...
