Raptor seen at Grand Mesa, CO, USA (1 Viewer)

We spotted this hawk at Grand Mesa, Colorado, USA, on October 6, 2024. Apologies for the poor quality photo, it was a long distance shot with a superzoom camera, so it was a bit out of range. Merlin came back with either a red-tailed hawk or a northern harrier.

Looks good for an immature red-tailed hawk, completely wrong for a northern harrier.
