Was in Menorca last week and when checking pics when i got home found this rather poor quality one. Took that many pics i can't remember which bird this actually was. Can anyone confirm my suspicions?

A kite, obviously, but which one? Only Red Kite breeds on Menorca, but this bird loooks like it hasn't much of a notch to the tail - although the corners look sharp and long suggesting this more to do with the angle than anything. Light doesn't allow confidence with regard to plumage details either. However, despite the tail, there's something about the shape that says Red, rather then Black Kite,

Hello John, Jan,
Red Kite is the common Kite on the island but i seen 2 or 3 Black Kites during the week with one bird being seen in roughly the same locality 3 days in a row.Pretty certain this was one of the Black Kites although the photograph is poor.
Thanks Derek
