Hello all,

I have just got a new Velbon Sherpa 200R tripod with the PH-157Q Head. It is missing the quick release plate (QB-157K). Very disappointingly, I am now discovering it is very hard to find. Would anyone happen to know where I can come by one? Or if anyone has an old one they no longer use I'd be happy to pay for it so i can go birding as soon as possible. Thanks!

aganaagana,

Whoever sold you the head should have sold you the plate with it. You are entitled to a refund for the head because the plate is missing. Where did you buy the tripod and head from ?

Hi Aganaagana
I have one, used very little because it was in addition to the original plate mounted on the Velbon Sherpa 200R that I sold and therefore I have it left. I am glad to sell it

We have a few of these in stock from when we used to sell the Sherpa. Price is £15.99 plus £4 postage. Just give me a call to pay by card over the phone - 01582 726522, option 2.

Otherwise, there's a 3D printed version from a Ukraine-based seller on Etsy:

Or a 'clone' from a Chinese supplier on AliExpress:

Cheers, Pete
