Question regarding roasted mealworms and dried waxworms (1 Viewer)

In the Duncraft catalog I noticed "roasted" mealworms and dried waxworms. Do birds eat these as well as the live worms? How do you care for the live ones until fed to the birds? The roasted sounds very easy to keep until fed to the birds. Any other Texans out there feeding live or roasted mealworms?
What birds do they attract?
Thanks

They do not sound very appetising for the birds. What could be better than a nice juicy mealworm? I buy 500g at a time, about 4000 mealworms and keep them in oatmeal.

Thanks Paul for the reply. Can you please give a little detail in specifically how you keep them? Are they kept in the refrigerator? If not where and at what temperature? Do you ever have to change the oatmeal? About how much oatmeal would it take. "My" birds are not used to seeing them and I am sure it would take a while for them to start taking them. So I am sure I would have to store them for quite a while. Also I am not sure what birds would eat them other than robins and we are a couple of months from the robin migration. Would I have to be concerned about them turning into the black bugs? Thanks for any advice.

Do you keep the mealworms in the fridge? Thinking of getting some in spring.
