Question on Leica USA Warranty and Binos Purchased Used (1 Viewer)

Has anyone ever returned a Leica binocular that they bought used for repair? If so, did Leica charge for the repair? I know Zeiss is great about repairing optics, regardless if you are the original purchaser, and I was wondering about Leica.

Leica does not have a transferable warranty. They do offer "Leica Certified Pre-Owned" binoculars thru their authorized dealers, however, if you bought a used Leica from a private seller it is not covered.
