Back in 2017: as a reward for allowing the killing of Barred Owls on their property, timber companies were able to get rid of some Northern Spotted Owls as well. 🤷‍♂️

It looks to me like the FWS simply allowed the timber companies to (gasp) harvest timber, and these people are reinterpreting timber harvest as "harassing and killing" Spotted Owls.
