From couple weeks back.. around same time, after 10 PM, i started hearing this bird every night. I am so curious to find out the type of bird.. or even why at same time every night. If anyone recognize the sound of bird.. please share me some knowledge!

In my livingroom.. i am in orange county california. I can hear him/her in anywhere in the house. When i walk close to where the sound comes from, he/she will stop.

Counts me out then, I'm not familiar with North American bird sounds.

Sounds like a Common Poorwill.

Agree with Common Poorwill. Cool to have one at your house. It is calling to attract a mate and/or declare its territory. I assume this is in a rural area.
