Ospreys in winter? (1 Viewer)

A friend of mine claims he sees Ospreys over Loch Rannoch in winter. Could this be true, when I suggested he may be mistaken he said they are hand reared birds from Dunalastair down the glen. Is this also true?
My friend is a bit of bull sh***er so just thought id clear it up.

An Osprey was seen at a Loch near Oban in December around 4 or 5 years ago but this is an exceptional report.As for being hand reared.......your mates,"having a laugh".

Ospreys are almost exclusively fish eaters, so they migrate for the winter, since fish are hard to find in cold or frozen water.
