Oneword digital radio - how many birds? (1 Viewer)

My wife stumbled across Oneword Digital station last night when she told me she'd found a radio station just broadcasting bird song.
Turns out that Oneword digital radio closed over the weekend after 51% of its shares were sold for a pound.
Now its closed there's a track of birds running continuously instead (sounds like the height of spring). So far I've clocked;
Great-tit
Greenfinch
Robin
Wren
Magpie
Pied Wagtail
Collared Dove
Jackdaw over
Carrion Crow
Swallow
Spotted Flycatcher
Pied Flycatcher (near the start of the loop)
....but I'm sure there must be more. Its one hell of a garden if thats where it was recorded.

I remember back in the early 1990's I was tuning my radio and came across a frequency broadcasting birdsong. I also remember being a tad disappointed when it turned out to be 'keeping the seat warm' as it were, for Classic FM - disappointed because a)it wasn't going to be broadcasting birdsong for ever and b)it was to be classical music (which I don't like) and not rock music!

There was a digital 'station' around a few years ago called D1 Temp that broadcast a loop of bird song. It was really good! Perhaps it played the same recording as is on now. As it's name suggests, it sadly disappeared in about 2004.

Me and a friend were thinking of setting up a bird Internet radio station, to be honest its not that difficult either :-O
